As always we hope that you are all keeping safe and well. After the announcement from the Government on Saturday night, we understand that many of you will be wondering whether you will be able to come in to see us for eye examinations or any other service that you may require. I can reassure you that optometry practices are counted as essential, and that as such we will be open to assist you in any way that we can in these difficult times. We would ask that anyone that has a need to come to the practice makes an appointment for track and trace purposes, as well as to ensure that we limit the number of people in the building to safe levels. We will of course do the utmost to ensure service levels are maintained, however the safety of my team is paramount and we may need to make some changes to our working patterns.
I’d also like to reassure you that we have taken every step possible to ensure your safety in the present situation. We wear appropriate PPE and have cleaning protocols in place throughout the practice. These measures, along with spreading out appointments are designed so that we can ensure that we can provide safe distancing according to guidelines, mean that we are confident that visiting us is as safe as it can possibly be.
Currently I don’t foresee there being any changes to our working hours but again I will be flexible with this depending on advice from my Governing bodies and Central Government. As I said earlier please call or e-mail before coming to the practice. Please don’t attend without a prior appointment.
Obviously as earlier this year the situation is quite fluid and If there are any changes to how we function enforced by new advice, I will update you via our website and on social media. Most importantly If you have any queries or concerns about your vision please do get in touch. My team and myself are here and ready and happy to help you in any way we can.
I would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the last 7 months, in what you can imagine has been a very tough time for businesses.
